Roll-A-Vowel Practice for Distinguish Long from Short Vowel Sounds (Free download)

Long and short vowels rules

Roll-A- ____ games are a great way to review lots of different literacy and numeracy skills both at school and at home.

All you need to do is print and grab some dice. A student rolls the die and reads the words in the column that matches the number on their die. Then identify whether the word has a long or short vowel and then color the word accordingly. You can leave out the color portion and just identify the words with long and short vowels. Help Your Little One Prepare for Pre-K and Kindergarten Series (Part 5: Rhyming Words)

Our little ones will be heading to Kindergarten in just a few short months. So this series was born! We all want our little one to be prepared and successful in Kindergarten.

So for each week in June, July, and August, you’ll find a quick activity to do with your little one to help get them ready. Gingerbread Roll-a-Letter (Free Download)

 I hope this post finds you well! I have a free classroom resource for you to download and use with your students or share with your families to practice at home. All you need to do is print and find some dice. A student rolls the die and identifies the lower case letter in the row of the die they roll. The set has two different versions of the Gingerbread Roll-a-Letter.
